Next to your tracks, not on top of them
Pibox docks at the side of the Edit window. The session stays in full view while you read notes and play versions — no window to drag out of the way.
The Pibox Extension brings client review and approval into Pro Tools®. Bounce from your session and share one link: clients listen and comment in their browser, with no account and nothing to install. Click any comment to select that spot in your session.

No Extensions panel? Use the Pibox AAX plugin →Extensions are a new home for partner tools in Pro Tools: they live in the side panel of the Edit window, not on a track. Pibox opens there as a tab — play the session, read the notes, flip versions, all on one screen.
This section feels muddy — can we clean up the low mids here?
Hats feel a touch sharp here — worth a listen.

Extensions live in their own place in Pro Tools, independent of track inserts. Add the Pibox insert to your master only when you want to A/B against the client’s version.
Projects, versions, comments and approvals — the same Pibox your clients see in the browser, a tab away from your tracks.
Open Pibox from the Extensions side panel of the Edit window.
Bounce the session straight to Pibox. Every new version lands next to the last one.

Click a note and Pro Tools selects that spot. Or bring every note in as Memory Locations.
One installer, two ways into Pro Tools. Same review tools in both — they differ in where Pibox lives.
Use the Pibox AAX plugin: install, restart Pro Tools, put Pibox on your master as an insert and open its window. Same comments, versions and Memory Locations.
Reviewer notes arrive at the timecode they were written on. Click one and Pro Tools goes there — you audition the note against your live mix, not a bounce in a browser tab.
Bring the thread into your session and every comment becomes a marker at its own timecode. Range notes collapse into the window they cover.
Numbering picks up after your highest existing marker. Anything landing within half a second of a marker you already have raises a conflict dialog — replace, keep both, or cancel.
Answer and resolve from Pibox in Pro Tools. The reviewer sees it in the browser, on their phone, wherever they left the note.
Trusted by leading companies

“First of all, what a great use of the extensions!”
“This functionality is long overdue in the music world.”
“Clicking a comment with a selection automatically selects the exact same location in Pro Tools. That’s really useful.”
“I just installed everything here and absolutely no issues getting up and running. Super easy and intuitive.”
“The commenting on timecodes and time regions works super smooth.”
“Nice tool! And great to have something like this in Pro Tools!”
Clients press play and comment where they hear it — no account, nothing to install. And nobody writes “around 2:14, the snare” again.
On the version it was written about, so a fix always answers the right comment.
Each bounce lands next to the last, so the history of a mix stays in order and the approval sits on the right version.
Review, files, sharing, playlists and security — the whole job from first bounce to delivery, in one workspace.
The Extension opens Pibox in the side panel of the Pro Tools Edit window, next to your tracks, without using an insert. The plugin is an AAX insert that opens Pibox in its own window. Both carry the same review tools, and they work together: with the plugin on your master, the panel can play the client’s version while the insert takes your session mix out.
Extensions arrive with the next Pro Tools release; the Pibox Extension works from that version on. On an earlier version, the Pibox AAX plugin opens the same review tools in a plugin window.
Your Pro Tools doesn’t have Extensions yet, so the installer’s AAX plugin is what you get: add Pibox as an insert on your master and open its window. Once you’re on a Pro Tools release with Extensions, Pibox also appears in the Extensions panel — install the latest Pibox if it doesn’t.
Yes, both. Download the installer for your system and Pibox appears in Pro Tools.
No. The Extension and the plugin are included with Pibox and install from one download. Every account starts on a free trial, then you can stay on the free plan or move to a paid subscription.
No. Reviewers open a share link in the browser and comment there. Their notes arrive in your session at the right timecode.
Yes. Reviewer notes come back into your session as Memory Locations, at the timecode they were written on. Range notes collapse into the window they cover, numbering picks up after your highest existing marker, and anything landing within half a second of a marker you already have raises a conflict dialog — replace, keep both, or cancel. In Cubase and Nuendo the same notes come out as a marker CSV at exact timecode, where ranges become cycle markers, or as a MIDI file.
No login required. Team members review right in the project; anyone else opens the share link in the browser and comments after adding a name and email — so every note still has an owner.
All common audio formats, plus video, images, documents and 3D models — each with in-browser previews and timestamped comments.
